| Information |   Mission Statement The mission of the Windsor Fire Department is to provide protection to the citizens of the Town of Windsor and the Municipality of the District of West Hants. We pledge to do our utmost to protect their property from the ravages of fire and other emergencies and to educate them in the benefits of fire prevention. We are committed to provide our services to all citizens of the area unselfishly, keeping in mind at all times the safety and best interests of the Community. Recruitment: The Windsor Fire Department has established a system of recruitment for volunteer firefighters that assures the quality of candidates to meet the needs of fire department operations. We recruit prospective candidates for the position of firefighter on an ongoing basis, applications are read to the membership of the department on the 1st Wednesday of each month, then forwarded to the Windsor Fire Department Human Resourses Divison for processing.
