Information | One of our newest library branches is located in the Westville Municipal Building on Queen Street (the old elementary school), next to the Fire & Police station. The Westville Library is a wireless hotspot (WIFI) with access to high speed Internet. We offer a full range of free services and access to the resources of all Nova Scotia public libraries. Collection: Books for all ages and interests, reference, large print book, DVDs/videos, magazines, audiobooks, Playaways, downloadable audiobooks, ebooks and emagazines, online databases& instructional programs (such as Ancestry.ca, Rocket Languages, Chilton's Library, Lynda.com/LinkedIn Learning, RBdigital, PressReader) and more. Services: Programming, Reader's advisory, reference, inter-library loan, Internet access, public computer workstations, a laptop, scanner, photocopier, printer, 3D printer, GPS, family play packs, Nordic walking poles, and a Public Art Display Cabinent. Instructional tours available upon request. Instructional tours available upon request. A 24-hour bookdrop is available at the Library entrance. Library Programs: All library programs are offered free of charge, although space is limited – so please call the Library for more information, and to register (902-396-5022). These regular library programs are offered through the fall until the spring (from September – June) while over the summer months, special programming (such as the Summer Reading Clubs for children) is offered. Throughout the year, special programs are also offered such as workshops, and presentations on a variety of topics. For more information, please visit: http://parl.ns.ca/events/index.php Children’s & Youth programs - - Make & Take crafting kits Adult programs - - Book Clubs Meeting Room The Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library Board will provide non-profit groups with meeting space free of charge in the Program Room, when not in use for library activities. These meetings are to be of a non-fund raising, non-revenue generating nature. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject requests for the use of meeting space. Please call ahead for availability. Facility Rental: The library's Community Room is available at a cost of $25 for a half day and $50 for the full day, and there is no cost for non-profit organizations. The Community Room is fully equipped with a TV, DVD, lectern, OHP screen, projector, computer hook up, and you can also wheel in a PC from the Tech area. A small office is also available for reservations. |

Accessibility | Fully Wheelchair Accessible ; The library also provides supported access to the CELA & NNELS audiobook collections for the Visually Impaired & Print Disabled, and has a long-term equipment loan program for DaisyReaders, for library clients. The Library also carries Sensory Play (Neurodiversity Tool Kits) developed by AutismNS with sensory, visual and fidget tool bags available for families to borrow. The Westville Library supports the Virtual Care NS program, and the Community Office is available for reservations to meet with care providers for online medical appointments arranged through Virtual Care NS.
