| Information | The Royal Canadian Legion is Canada’s largest Veteran support and community service organization. Our more than 300,000 members in over 1400 Branches across Canada make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families, provide essential services within our communities, and Remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country. Due to the grass-roots origins of our organization, we have always responded to the needs of communities. Since 1926, members have been quietly working to improve the quality of life for all Canadians, particularly Veterans, seniors and youth. In fact, it is estimated that our annual economic impact on communities exceeds $375 million. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 098 was founded in 1946. It is located near 14 Wing Greenwood, the largest Royal Canadian Air Force base on the East Coast. We are the second largest RCL Branch in Nova Scotia with more than 770 current paid memberships. Branch 098 offers comradeship, support and services to veterans including currently-serving and retired military, RCMP members, and their families. We also serve and support many local organizations, events and charities through donations, volunteerism and the use of our facilities. |
