Information  
The New Minas Fire Department, which is responsible for fire protection of the Village of New Minas and surrounding areas, is currently accepting applications for male and female members. 
 
In addition to fire protection, the department also has several speciality rescue and emergency response teams. These include a high angle rope learn, water rescue/dive team, hazardous material response team and vehicle extrication team and consist of members who have an interest or speciality in these areas. Opportunity also exists for members interested in the Radio Communications/Computer operator area of the fire department. 
 
If you are interested in becoming a new member, you can call 902-681-6661 or drop by the station at 6 Jones Road, for more information. We invite you to come out and be part of a highly trained team of volunteers.
