Information | Our smallest branch is located in the Trenton Town Hall Building, on Forge Street (a side entrance). We offer a full range of free services and access to the resources of all Nova Scotia public libraries. The Trenton Library is a wireless hotspot (WIFI) with access to high speed Internet. Collection: Books for all ages and interests, reference, large print book, DVDs/videos, magazines, audiobooks, Playaways, downloadable audiobooks, ebooks and emagazines, online databases& instructional programs (such as Ancestry.ca, Rocket Languages, Lynda.com/LinkedIn Learning, RBDigital, PressReader, Chilton's Library) and more. Services: Programming, Reader's advisory, reference, inter-library loan, Internet access, public computer workstations, scanner, photocopier, printer, GPS, family play packs, Nordic walking poles. Instructional tours available upon request. A 24-hour book materials return drop box is located at the front entrance. Library Programs: The library programs are offered throughout the year on special occasions, while over the summer months, special programming (such as the Summer Reading Clubs for children) is offered. All library programs are offered free of charge, although space is limited – so please call the Library for more information, and to register (902-752-5181).Throughout the year, special programs are also offered such as workshops, and presentations on a variety of topics. Accessibility | Fully Wheelchair Accessible ; ** the washroom is not wheelchair accessible (the doorway is quite narrow). The library also provides supported access to the CELA & NNELS audiobook collections for the Visually Impaired & Print Disabled, and has a long-term equipment loan program for DaisyReaders, for library clients. The Library also carries Sensory Play (Neurodiversity Tool Kits) developed by AutismNS with sensory, visual and fidget tool bags available for families to borrow. |
