Public Bulletin The Colchester-East Hants branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association will soon have a lot more space.

The CMHA plans to renovate the former Bargain Shop building, at 859 Prince Street. Costs are expected to total $1.5 million and a fundraising campaign will be launched during the first week of May.

“One of our biggest challenges right now is trying to juggle our small work area,” said Susan Henderson, executive director. “The new building will be bright and spacious, We’ll be able to accommodate our current programs and more.”

The CMHA is currently located on the corner of Revere and Prince Streets, and will temporarily move across the street (574 Prince) until the new spot is ready. SOUP Café, which is run by the local branch of the CMHA, will remain at its 563 Prince Street location for the time being.
