Information | We are a non-profit organization and a chapter of the national Embroiderers' Association of Canada, Inc. (EAC) / Association canadienne de broiderie, Inc. (ACB); www.eac.ca All levels of stitching talent, from novice to expert, are welcome to attend one meeting as a guest. marigoldguildofneedlearts.ca info@marigoldguildofneedlearts.ca Activities of the organization include social/meetings, display of completed projects, stitch-ins, workshops, retreats, seminars and lending library. |
Eligibility | Ages: 18 year(s) and up It is possible for youth to join by contacting EAC. |
Hours | 9:30am to 12:00 noon for social/meetings and 10: 00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. for occasional stitch-ins. |
Dates | 2023: Tuesday, November 21; 2024: Tuesday, January 16; February 20; March 19; April 16; October 15; November 19. |
Meetings | Third Tuesday of the month, January to May, October and November at the Truro Fire Hall Community Room. Special events in September and December are usually held elsewhere for members only. Regular meetings start with a half hour social followed by a "Marigold Garden" (a display of members' needlework) then by guild business and finally a program. This may include a speaker or a hands-on project. |
