Description & Services | |
Information | Fung Loy Kok – Taoist Tai Chi® arts is a registered non-profit charitable organization. We instruct the Taoist Tai Chi® arts as a means to cultivate various aspects of health. To do this, we practice at two levels — beginners and continuing. Beginner classes start September and February at most locations in the Valley and on completion, a participant will have received a good introduction to the 108-move set. Participants can attend as many classes as they like for the same fee. Completing the Beginners’ program, participants join the Continuing level where they continue to learn and practice the wisdom of the Taoist Tai Chi® arts. Taoist Tai Chi® arts originate from the teachings and practices of Taoist monks dating back 1000 years. Master Moy Lin Shin, a Taoist monk, brought Taoist Tai Chi to Canada, in 1970. Since then this style has spread around the world to 500 locations in 27 different countries. We have 22 locations in the Maritimes and in the Valley we offer classes in Yarmouth, Cornwallis Park/Digby, Annapolis Royal, Middleton, and Kentville/New Minas. All our instructors, administrators and Board members are volunteers. For further information contact MaryAnne (902-678-4609) or Steve (902-681-1606) or email us at kentville@taoist.org or check our web site at www.taoist.org.
