Information | St. John Ambulance has been ensuring the health, safety and quality of life for Canadians for well over 125 years. St. John Ambulance offers the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art first aid and CPR training programs for the workplace, the home and the community. MARINE FIRST AID Our Marine First Aid Courses meet Transport Canada Guidelines and are excellent for both the recreational boater and the professional mariner. Marine Advanced Basic First Aid is a 2 day course that is similar to Standard First Aid with CPR. Marine Advanced First Aid is a 5 day course that is similar to the Advanced Medical Frist Responder 1 Class. It includes the use of oxygen, spinal immobolization, and advanced first aid skills, as well as CPR and AED. Both of these courses are accompanied by a Marine Supplement which includes chapters on marine related topics. WILDERNESS FIRST AID This course is a comprehensive program for those who live, work, or play in the wilderness. This specialized first aid and safety course focuses on how to take care of casualties when medical help is not readily available. You will be prepared with skills and knowledge to treat injuries and promote recovery when you are hours, or even days, away from emergency medical aid. This course is ideal for those who live in a remote area, or travel in the wilderness for business or pleasure. Proceeds from our training programs support services for seniors, youth, and the community. How You Can Help Volunteer For over a century, St. John Ambulance Canada volunteers have been dedicated to a singular vision: to enable Canadians to improve their health, safety and quality of life by providing community services and first aid training. Donate St. John Ambulance Canada is one of Canada’s oldest charitable organizations In most cases, we do not receive any federal government funding; therefore, it is through the generosity of donors that we are able to provide community services and programs throughout Canada. With your support, you can help us to continue saving lives at work, home and play. Check out our website for a list of courses we offer! |
