| Information | The South Shore Chapter is a true example of how volunteers at the grass roots level can have an impact on the work of a national organization such as Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Until 2005, the crew in Bridgewater was the only Chapter hosting a bed race in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada. In 2007 the event raised $7,500, continuing with its year after year growth trend.This activity has created so much excitement that other Chapters are starting to use the idea. The group sells food/candy at Community Fairs to raise money for MDC. They also sell Christmas ornaments and MDC wristbands. Members are trained Peer Supporters. One of the members has an assistance dog, and they are always willing to share their experiences. They also participate in the annual Hop campaign.
