Description & Services

Information

Since 1922, the Liverpool Tennis Club has been the home of community tennis at the corner of Park and Church Streets in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada. Club facilities at our picturesque tree-lined location include three private hardcourts equipped with lights for night play, a practice wall, and a small clubhouse with washroom facilities. We offer lessons to children, teenagers, and adults, and we also host various social events for players of all abilities.

The club currently has about 60 members, and we always welcome new people who want to come join the fun. Club members generally play against each other, and also occasionally host or travel to clubs from other nearby communities for recreational and tournament play.

Our mission is two-fold:

1) To promote health and fitness in our community by providing people of all abilities a venue for tennis play and instruction.

2) To help aspiring young tennis players develop and realize their full potential by providing them with lessons, encouragement, and guidance.

Tennis Lessons
Tennis lessons for juniors are free, and included with a Liverpool Tennis Club membership. Junior lessons are offered for Grades P/1, Grades 2/3, Grades 4/5/6, Grades 7/8, and Grade 9 and above, and are taught by Gavin Raddall. Taryn Jollimore, our Club Pro, supervises junior lessons and also occasionally teaches them.

Adult lessons are offered for both beginner and intermediate adult players. Adults do not need to be members of the tennis club to register for lessons. The adult lesson schedule will be posted here when it becomes available. Fees for adult lessons are as follows: $50 for entire season, $30 per month, $8 for a single lesson
