| Information | Scotsburn Recreation Club has been organizing community based programming and operating a variety of recreation facilties since the early 80's. In addition to the John P Gammon Recreation & Community Center, there is also a fenced ballfield with cinder-block dugouts, canteen, equipment shed, washrooms, double tennis court with backboard, shuffleboard court, basketball pad, playground equipment, benches and large asphalt pad. The Recreation Area is close to the trail head for the FitzPatrick Mtn trails. Scotsburn Recreation Club coordinates year-round programming for local residents which includes summer day camps, Winter Carnival, Canada Day Celebrations, Annual Fun Run, CATCH Afterschool Program, as well as other special events. The Scotsburn 55+ Club is a sub-committee which focuses on organizing a variety of programs and social pursuits for residents who want to stay active such as hiking, biking, kayaking, exercise classes and day trips. |
