Description & Services
Information | Created in 1974 by Wallace Bernard and Joe B Marshall, the "Indian Juvenile Invitational Hockey Tournament" is believed to be the first of its kind on Canada's East Coast. After the passing of Wally Bernard in 1988, the tournament got a revised logo and a new name - Wally Bernard Memorial Indian Youth Hockey Tournament. Now in it's 40th iteration, the tournament is the second-longest running Native youth hockey tournament in Canada, and is considered to be the marquee event for Atlantic Aboriginal Youth Hockey. |
