Description & Services
Information | The Mahone Bay Founders Society and community partners present this annual summer celebration, Treasures of Mahone Bay Festival. Mahone Bay is considered as one of Canada's loveliest little towns. It is known for the charm of its people and the beauty of the Maritime surroundings. Mahone Bay's treasures of scenery, architecture, gardens, shops, restaurants, artisans and community spirit all come together in a town alive with natural beauty and summer pleasures. Homeowners open their doors and garden gates, and sea captains give permission to board and view their working vessels at the Mahone Bay Home, Garden and Boat Tour. Participate in an interactive seminar on "Do's and Don'ts of Keeping Your Treasures Safe" led by the manager of the Mahone Bay Settlers Museum. Find your own Treasure at the Grandpa's Garage Sale. Learn about heritage crafts and the treasures they provide. Take a tour of the surrounding islands. Learn about our shipbuilding and seafaring history. Experience a "day in the bay" with a program that features the beauty of a town known to be as 'pretty as a picture'. Held annually mid July.
