Information | The Island Steppers are a group of young Richmond County dancers under the direction of Trina Samson. This group has been entertaining audiences since 2005 at festivals, special events, and venues all over Cape Breton Island, including: CELTIC COLOURS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL, CHRISTMAS DADDIES, CANSO CAUSEWAY 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS - Port Hastings, CAPE BRETON FESTIVAL OF FIDDLE & FOLK - St. Ann’s Gaelic College, CHESTICO DAYS STEPDANCING FESTIVAL - Port Hood, CEILIDH AT THE CREAMERY - Port Hawkesbury, INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY GALA CONCERT - Port Hawkesbury, RELAY FOR LIFE 2005/06/07 - Arichat & Port Hawkesbury, ATLANTIC STORYTELLING FESTIVAL A'TUKWEY- ISLE MADAME and THE RED SHOE - Mabou to name a few. With a lively mix of Cape Breton, Celtic, and Acadian Stepdancing, the Island Steppers are gaining a reputation as one of Cape Breton’s best Dance Sensations |
