The Western Kings Community Health Board is a group of volunteers that want to create a healthy community by improving the circumstances that contribute to poor health.

Community Health Boards (CHBs) are groups of volunteers from local communities who have a common interest in improving the health of the community - to create an equitable, safe, supportive, vibrant and healthy environment for individuals, families and communities.

They have a legislated role in the health system to provide advice to the health system on steps to improve the health of communities.
