| Information | We empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are able to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Toastmasters is a place where you develop and grow - both personally and professionally. You join a community of learners, and in Toastmasters meetings we learn by doing. Whether you're an executive or a stay-at-home parent, a college student or a retiree, you will improve yourself; you will acquire skills to express yourself in a variety of situations. You will open up a world of new possibilities, give better work presentations, lead meetings - and participate in them - more confidently. You will speak more smoothly off the cuff, even handling one-on-one interactions with family, friends and colleagues more positively. Our core values: - Respect - Integrity - Service - Excellence The Annapolis Valley Toastmasters Club serves 14 Wing Greenwood personnel and members of the Annapolis Valley community in Nova Scotia, Canada. We have members from Annapolis Royal to Kentville, of all ages and background experiences. Our meetings are educational and fun. Guests are always welcome! Join us for a great evening of entertainment. Meetings are held at the Birchall Training Centre on the first floor (follow the signs) 6:30 - 08:00 pm every Tuesday night. It's the first large building after the 14 Wing Base gate entrance and is located on the right side (the training centre also houses the Zedex movie theatre). |
