| Information | The Mabou Sailing and Boating Club is committed to the development and sustainability of a recreational boating club for youth and adults in and around the Mabou area. The club first began in 2008 with the Ontario Mobile Sailing Club visiting the area for one week during the summer. From 2009-2011 sailing continued to generate excitement and grow with the Sail Nova Scotia Mobile Sailing program. 2012 was our pivotal year where we started our very own club. Since then the club has grown steadily with over 65 kids and adults registering for the 2016 Learn to Sail program. We continue to expand the facility and seek new members, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure continued success. Sailing as well as various other outdoor water activities in Mabou has generated a lot of excitement for kids, parents and members of the surrounding communities. Our long range goal is to expand the sailing club to include multiple outdoor recreational activities. We envision a new Mabou Outdoor Center to be a new hub of family activity. It remains a positive project with tremendous potential. Please consider becoming a member today.
