| Information | Experience how singing global song helps us connect to the people and world around us. Inshallah is a choir from Ontario which sings world music, helping us connect to the rest of the world through singing together. "Singing Peace" will be held in the morning (9:30 a.m.). It will introduce the theme of Singing World Music, and making connections to the people and situations right here in the South Shore. Workshops will follow (11:00 a.m.), covering numerous topics, including: Singing with percussion; Singing without paper, books or even screens!; Singing with our bodies (movement and dancing); and Singing with our Multi-faith Partners. Lunch is at Noon (Bring your own). A concert at 1:30 p.m. concludes the day, entitled "Singing With our Lunenburg Neighbours." Inshallah will sing with various musicians from the South Shore, bringing all of our songs together, sharing our gifts and our stories, and sending us out to sing with our world! This event is for anyone interested in connecting with others through song, learning the background stories to the songs we sing, and discovering the presence of the world right here in Lunenburg County. All ages, backgrounds, genders and traditions invited! |
