| Information | The Eastern Communities Youth Association (ECYA) is a registered charity that focuses on the needs, wishes, and suggestions of the area youth.Through grants and fundraising, the ECYA is able to offer a variety of programming and services to local youth. There has been outdoor programming, dance, leadership, music, writing, sports, drama, BMX, babysitting, defensive driving, etc. We have provided bursaries to the local graduating class and made donations to groups such as; Scouts, Figure Skating and Minor Hockey to help sponsor youth in those programs. The new, large Youth Centre located at 20 Telegraph Street is opened every day after school for all age groups and some evenings/weekends. Sometimes, there are specific times for particular groups of youth. The Centre has a pool, foosball, air hockey and ping-pong tables. A big screen TV with an X-Box and games is very popular. |
