Information May 2024 - Approaching from the west, Willard Kitchener MacDonald Trail is open as far as Maguma Falls; you can access this trail only from the west side, that is, ONLY from the Yellow Birch Trail/southern section of Sandy Cope Trail.

This trail is part of the Gully Lake Trail System of wilderness hiking trails. Hikers are advised to read and consider the Cobequid Eco-Trails Society's Trail Users' Checklist before heading into the Gully Lake Wilderness Area. Hikers are to follow the path and trail markers. Length: 2.7 km one-way (linear) Rating: "moderate" difficulty Trail surface: soil/footpath Permitted uses: hiking, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing Trail access: via Yellow Birch Trail, which is located at the trailhead at 1734 Kemptown Road.
