Description & Services

Information May 2024 - TRAIL CLOSED. This trail was heavily damaged during Hurricane Fiona in September 2022 and is CLOSED until further notice. Please respect trail closure notices and signage.

This trail is part of the Gully Lake Trail System of wilderness hiking trails. Hikers are advised to read and consider the Cobequid Eco-Trails Society's Trail Users' Checklist. Hikers are to follow the path and trail markers. Length: 10 km loop, plus 3.3 km or 4 km access trail to the beginning of the hike Rating: "moderate" difficulty Trail surface: soil/footpath Permitted uses: hiking, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing To access the trail:

  • 4 km from 1734 Kemptown Road via Yellow Birch Trail and Willard Kitchener MacDonald Trail, or
  • At the end of Fire Road at Gully Lake, or
  • 3.2 km from 737 Glen Road entry point (via Juniper Head Trail)
