The Coastal Discovery Center is proudly run by The Main-A-Dieu Community Development Association

The Coastal Discovery Centre is a community, social and enterprise centre housed in the former elementary school in Main-à-Dieu. Its purpose is to provide:

• A home for local businesses and entrepreneurs, serving both residents and visitors, with a special focus on establishing the site as a major tourist attraction on the Marconi Trial.
• A venue for social and leisure activities, including fundraising events designed to support and develop the CDC project.

The Coastal Discovery is open year-round, and offers many different services for everyone to enjoy! From the Big Wave Cafe, Library, Fishermans Museum, and C@P Site, to our weekly exercise programs, bingo, cards and crafts.. There is something for everyone to join in on.

The Coastal Discovery Centre is run as a non-for-profit organization, which means we keep our doors open because of the kindness and generosity of community members, levels of government and local organizations.
