Description & Services

Information

Our purpose is to promote boating and other water sports so as to provide its members and guests an opportunity to participate in the Club's social activities that will benefit not only the Club, but the surrounding community.

We are a non-profit organization, and keep The Mira Boat Club open by having our monthly fundraising events and through our membership dues. It's a great place to come out to meet friends, new & old while enjoying great entertainment. Our facilities include a canteen, gas pump on wharf & waste disposal station to help keep our waterways clean.

We offer sailing programs for Beginners, Intermediate, Adult and Accessible Sailing. Our mission is to provide learn to sail programs and experiences as well as fun, fitness, friendship and sportsmanship for participants of all abilities. Lessons are available for sailors with disabilities who wish to learn to sail or improve their sailing skills. Sailing lessons are customized on an individual basis following a personal consultation with the sailing instructor. We also offer evening and/or weekend "sailing experiences" for adults by special arrangement pending availability of an instructor and boats. Sail Canada Certified Coaches teach the sailing programs.
