|Information||Do your kids want to meet other kids who love nature?
Does your family love exploring and learning about nature?
We are a FREE nature club geared toward youth and their families.
Our programs run from September through June.
Learn from expert naturalists at FUN workshops, explore local parks & trails on our field trips and observe many fascinating natural phenomena.
Our presentations and field trips are led by volunteer adult naturalists and guest scientists. Our presentations are age appropriate, hands-on, engaging and interactive.
Discover Nova Scotia’s natural history and learn basic naturalists skills.
Learn to observe and identify many species of Nova Scotia plants and animals.
Learn to use basic naturalist equipment (magnifying loupes, binoculars, field guides, nature journals and more).
Easy to Explore!
Our chapters have regular meeting times each month but we are flexible. Come to all of our meetings and field trips or just those that fit your family’s schedule.
Our field trips explore natural areas in your community— explore with us and get to know the plants and animals that live near you.
Each month we have one Saturday nature presentation and/or field trip at various locations close to Berwick.
All events are FREE, and children under 12 and their families are welcome to join the Young Naturalists Club at ANY TIME throughout the year!
For more information, or to register for Berwick Chapter events, contact the local YNC Volunteer Leader: Marina Myra.
