Description & Services
Eligibility The Summer Reading Club 2020 launch is June 20, with online performers and Facebook Live stories. This year the club will look a little different, but there will be activities and challenges for kids, teens, and adults. You can call our toll free number (1-866-922-0229) and ask for Anna (8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday) to sign up online, or by phoning your local AVRL branch, or email us at srcassistant@valleylibrary.ca. Kids (up to age 12) who register between June 20 and July 4, will be entered to win one of 4 Early Bird Prizes which contain chalk, a notebook, bubbles, and googly eyes. All reading counts: print books, comic books, magazines, audiobooks, eBooks.  
The Summer Reading Club is easy: log your reading and complete activities to earn badges and points and you will be entered to win prizes. Kids can enter to win Woozles gift certificates or Book Bunches. The finish prize for kids is a Prize Pack with chalk, brag tags, and a scratch-n-sniff bookmark. For TEENS we have gift card draws all summer long. The teen finish prize is choice of a t-shirt or Water Bottle. Adults will be entered to win T-shirts, socks, book bags, and gift cards.  
Reading and completing missions earn entries for the Grand Prize Draw, for all ages. The Grand Prize is a Family Fun Adventure Package with gift certificates to Oaklawn Farm Zoo, Dragonfly Haven Therapeutic Farm, and other local attractions, and Gas Cards.
