|Description & Services|
Test the waters and explore the ebb and flow of movement and drama at FODAR 2016 (Festival of Dance Annapolis Royal). Set in the spectacular setting of Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, the Festival is just across the bay from the site of the 1606 performance of Theatre of Neptune – reputed to be the first dramatic performance by Europeans in North America. And they did it in canoes! FODAR performances are definitely on stage at the historic King’s Theatre.
FODAR 2016 marks its third anniversary with an expanded program that includes the return of last season’s audience favourite, the remount of a Canadian modern dance classic, a gravity-defying theatre of movement, and two powerfully charged solo works.
THE MAN IN BLACK – Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie , LEO – William Bonnet – Y2D Productions (Montreal) in association with Chamaleon Productions (Berlin), LIVE FROM THE FLASH PAN – Rhonda Baker, BEING AND NOTHINGNESS – Greta Hodgkinson and CURIOUS SCHOOLS OF THEATRICAL DANCING – Michael Caldwell.
