| Information | This is a 2 km loop trail through a beautiful woodland park beside the Stewiacke River. Stroll under hemlock and pine trees along the river on the "river trail". Along this crusher dust path, you will pass the playground, picnic shelters and washrooms. An upland trail (off the crusher dust trail) with a grass surface passes through mixed forest in the upper section of the park, away from the river. Permitted uses: walking, snowshoeing, dogs on leash Benches along the trail provide places for rest and relaxation. Stewiacke River Park is open 8 am - 8 pm daily from mid-May to mid-October. Please check the website for dates of operation. Walkers are welcome year-round. (Visitors must leave vehicle at entrance in off-season.) To access the trail: Park address: 528 Stewiacke River Park Road, East Stewiacke. The "river trail" begins at the park entrance. The "upland trail" begins on the left, just past the park gate; start up the hill and veer right and across the footbridge.   |
